Is the website mine, or am I renting it?
Yours: your words and photos are yours and you can take them with you whenever you want (ask us and we send them); we register the .com so we can set it up for you, and if you leave, we transfer it to you.
What happens if I cancel?
Nothing strange: you cancel, stay published until the end of the paid period, and we keep your design in case you come back.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. No code, no plugins: template, words, photos, publish. Build a website without coding, in one afternoon.
Is it GDPR and cookie compliant?
Yes, out of the box: privacy policy, legal notice and a consent banner (only when needed), generated from your details. Built for EU GDPR; wherever your visitors are, no tracking cookies are ever set.
FAQ
Everything you're wondering
How much does a small business website cost with 1h1app?
$16 a month or $160 a year (16 € / 160 € inside Europe), with everything inside: all 66 sections, the 30 templates, up to 3 sites, bookings, menus, a shop, a blog and the legal pages. On the annual plan the .com domain is free for the first year. No setup fee and no charge for changes.
What happens when the 7 days are up?
Nothing gets deleted and nothing gets charged: we never asked for your card. If you don't activate the subscription your site stops being published, but the editor keeps every text and every image, and it goes back online the moment you subscribe.
Can I take bookings with deposits, show a menu or sell online?
Yes. There are sections for bookings with a calendar and deposits, for menus with categories and allergens, and for products with sizes, variants and by-weight pricing. Deposits and orders are charged through Stripe into your own account, with no commission from 1h1app.
Do I need design or coding skills?
No. You pick a template, replace the words and the photos, and the design keeps working: colors, typography, spacing and the mobile version are already taken care of. If you've never built a website, the 7-step guide inside the editor walks you through it.
Who owns the domain?
You use it and you keep it. On the annual plan we buy the .com and pay for the first year; it's registered under our account so we can set it up without asking you for anything, and if you ever leave, we transfer it to your name. If you already own one, you connect it.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There's no contract: you cancel from your dashboard, no call or email needed, and your site stays online until the end of the period you had already paid for.
Should I build my own website or hire a designer?
Hiring a designer or a budget agency usually means $500 to $3,000 upfront, then hosting and maintenance, and every text change goes through an email. Here you pay $16 a month, put your own content in over one afternoon and change it whenever you like at no extra cost. We break it down in Build your own website or hire a designer.
What about WordPress, Wix or Squarespace?
They're fine, and for many businesses they work. WordPress adds hosting, a theme, plugins, updates and your weekends; the big builders price by tier and often bill the domain separately. Ours is one flat price with privacy and cookie compliance built in and no plugins to keep updated.
Does it work for a one-person business?
Yes, it's built for people with no free afternoons: physios, electricians, lawyers, photographers, trainers. A template for your trade, bookings with deposits, a contact form that lands in your inbox and the legal pages filled with your details. See the small business website guide.
Can I have more than one site?
Yes: up to 3 sites and 200 MB of images with the same subscription. Handy if you run more than one business or want a separate page for a campaign.
Can I sell and take payments during the trial?
You can build the shop, add products and booking deposits, and see exactly how it looks. Connecting your Stripe account and taking real payments switches on when you activate your subscription (monthly or yearly): payments are for paying customers.
Why is the free domain only on paid plans?
Because a .com has to be bought and set up by hand, one by one, and on top of that we gift it to you for the first year. During the trial you publish at 1h1app.com/yourname and, as soon as you activate the subscription, we get on with your domain and write to you within 24 hours.
What if I get stuck?
Write to hola@1h1app.com and a human replies within 24 hours. Not a bot, not a ticket nobody reads.
Real humans, answers within 24 hours
