A quiet place to put in order what's going on

Fifty-minute sessions, in the consulting room or by video call. In the first one we get to know each other, you tell me what brings you here, and we finish with a clear idea of how to continue and how often to meet.

  • 50-minute sessions
  • In person and by video call
  • Everything we talk about is confidential

I answer emails within 24 working hours. This practice does not handle emergencies.

How I work

Neither friendly advice nor quick answers

I'm a general health psychologist and I work with adults. How I work is easy to explain: listen a lot at the start, put what comes up in order with you, and suggest concrete things to try between sessions.

I don't promise timeframes or results, because they don't depend on me alone, or on you alone. What I can tell you is how I work, how long each session lasts, how often we'll meet and when we'll review together whether this is being useful to you.

  • Every four or five sessions we review whether it's helping
  • If what you need isn't my field, I'll say so and give you alternatives
  • Professional confidentiality: nothing is shared without your written consent

What the practice offers

It all starts the same way: a first session to get to know each other and decide together whether to continue.

Individual therapy for adults

€60 per session

The usual format. Fifty-minute sessions, normally weekly at first and every two weeks once things settle. What we work on is decided in the first appointments and reviewed as we go.

Sessions by video callAnywhere in Spain

€55 per session

The same as in the consulting room, with a private link and nothing to install. You need a quiet hour, headphones and somewhere nobody will walk into halfway through.

Support through periods of change

€60 per session

A move, a bereavement, a separation, a new job or caring for a relative. Processes with a beginning and an end, which sometimes take only a few sessions.

Follow-up session

€60 per session

For people who have already finished a process with me and want to check in again. Booked as a one-off, without starting from scratch.

I don't work with under-18s and I don't write forensic reports. If that's what you're looking for, write anyway and I'll pass on the details of colleagues who do.

No surprises

What the first session is like

Almost everyone arrives with the same question: what exactly happens in there. This is what happens, step by step.

  1. You write and we find a slot

    24 working hours

A two-line email is enough: you don't need to explain anything in writing. I reply with two or three possible times and tell you whether it's in person or by video call.

  2. First session: we get to know each other

    50 minutes

Fifty minutes. You tell me what brings you here, since when, and what you've already tried. I ask a fair amount. There's no questionnaire to fill in and nothing to prepare beforehand.

  3. At the end of that session, a plan

    The last 10 minutes

I tell you how I see it, what we can work on, how often I suggest meeting and how many sessions something similar usually takes. If I think you need something else, I say so right there.

  4. We continue at the frequency we agree

    As long as it takes

Usually weekly at first and fortnightly later on. You can stop whenever you like: there are no packages, no lock-in and no sessions paid up front.

Reviewed every 4 or 5 sessions

What people ask before starting

How long is a session and how often do I come?

Fifty minutes. At first it's usually weekly, because continuity helps; later on, fortnightly. The frequency is decided with you in the first session and can change whenever it needs to.

How many sessions will I need?

There's no way to know in advance, and be wary of anyone who gives you a number over the phone. What we do is review it every four or five sessions: if it isn't helping, we change the approach or stop.

Does online therapy work the same?

For most of what I work with, yes, and some people open up sooner from home. What you need is an uninterrupted hour and somewhere you can speak out loud in peace.

Does what I say leave this room?

No. Professional confidentiality applies and notes are kept locked away. It is only broken in the cases the law sets out, and if that were to happen, we'd talk to you about it first.

What if I change my mind halfway through?

You can stop whenever you like and there's nothing to pay for leaving. If you tell me, we use the last session to close properly whatever we were working on.

Can I come if nothing serious is wrong?

Yes. You don't have to be at rock bottom to come and think through a decision, a change or something that's been going round your head for a while.

Still have a question?

Write to me

The first email is the hard part

You don't need to explain anything in writing or to know what to call what's happening. Saying you'd like a first session is enough: the rest we talk about here, calmly.

Write to me

Tell me whether you'd prefer the consulting room or a video call, and which times suit you. I'll reply within 24 working hours with two or three possible slots.

This practice does not handle emergencies. If you are in danger or need help now, call 112, or Spain's 024 helpline, open 24 hours.
