Escape room in Valencia · three rooms

Sixty minutes inside and only one way out

Three rooms built by hand, with no screens and no plastic padlocks: what you understand is what opens. Two to six of you come in, we lock the door and watch on camera to give you a clue only when you ask for one. The per-person price is written on every room.

  • From 2 to 6 players per room
  • 55 to 70 minutes inside
  • The door isn't locked: you can walk out whenever you want

All rooms are played in Spanish or English. You choose when booking.

different rooms

None is like the others: the setting changes and so does the kind of puzzle.

players per game

Four is the sweet spot; with six you have to split up.

Plus fifteen before and ten after: allow an hour and a half.

The rest come out anyway, just knowing the ending.

The three rooms

Each one lists the difficulty, the minutes, how many of you can play and what's inside that you should know about beforehand. We'd rather say it here than watch you leave after ten minutes.

The AntiquarianStart here

from €17 per person

Medium difficulty · 60 minutes · 2 to 5 players. An antiques dealer has vanished and his shop is full of clocks that don't agree on the time. It's the room most people start with: plenty to look at, nothing frightening. Normal lighting, no tight spaces and no jump scares.

Book this room

The LighthouseThe hardest

from €19 per person

High difficulty · 70 minutes · 3 to 6 players. The keeper hasn't reported in for eleven days and the light is still burning. Our hardest room and the only one with dim stretches, storm noise and a narrow staircase. No jump scares, but real tension: if someone doesn't like that, pick another.

Book this room

The Sealed LetterWith children from 8

from €15 per person

Low difficulty · 55 minutes · 2 to 6 players. A letter from 1890 nobody ever opened and a whole house to work out why. This is the room to play with children from 8 upwards, or with people who've never done one: no darkness, no noise and more generous clues.

Book this room

No room has live actors and none locks the door: you can leave whenever you like, by pressing a green button that's always in sight. We mention it because it's a lot of people's first question and the short answer is yes, you can get out.

Price per person

The more of you there are, the less each pays

The price is per person and drops with the number entering the room. These amounts are for "The Antiquarian" and "The Sealed Letter"; "The Lighthouse" is €2 more per person because it runs ten minutes longer. Swap them for yours before you publish.

It works and it's fun, but you'll have to talk to each other a lot.

Five or six

€25€17per person · €85 to €102 the game

For birthdays and big groups. Careful: six in one room is a lot of people.

  • The full 60 minutes
  • Unlimited clues, as many as you ask for
  • Team photo on the way out
  • The room to yourselves
  • More than six? Two rooms run at the same time
Book

"The Antiquarian" takes five at most: for six, choose "The Lighthouse" or "The Sealed Letter".

Payment on arrival, in cash or by card, and we'll issue an invoice on the spot if you need one. Cancelling is free up to 24 hours beforehand and the slot can be moved to another day at no charge. With less than 24 hours, please call: if we manage to fill the gap, no problem; if not, we've lost an hour.

Slots through the week

When you can play

Each slot is an hour and a half: fifteen minutes of briefing, the game itself and ten minutes for the photo and a glass of water. All three rooms run at once, so a big group can split up.

How a game goes

An hour and a half, from the door to the photo

So nobody turns up wondering what they're supposed to do or whether they'll be made to perform. There's no acting here.

  1. You arrive fifteen minutes early

    15 minutes

Coats and bags go in a locker with a key. Phones stay outside: you don't need them inside and they spoil the game. There's a toilet, water and somewhere to sit.

  2. The briefing

    5 minutes

Five minutes: the story of the room, how to ask for clues, where the exit button is and the four things not to break. No hidden rules.

  3. Inside

    55-70 minutes

The clock runs on a screen on the wall. We watch on camera and only step in if you ask for a clue or you've been stuck on the same thing for fifteen minutes. You just ask out loud.

You can leave at any point, with the green button.

  4. In or out of time, you get the ending

    10 minutes

If time runs out you don't leave wondering: we come in, open what was left and show you how it worked. It's the part people who don't escape enjoy most.

  5. Photo and out

    5 minutes

A team photo with the time chalked on the board, sent to you on WhatsApp the same day. And if you want to come back, we'll tell you which room pairs well with the one you've just done.

Who we are

We build the rooms ourselves, plank by plank

We opened Sala Cero, three friends, in 2018 after playing sixty rooms across half of Spain and leaving nearly all of them with the same feeling: plastic padlocks, a torch and a story that didn't survive ten minutes.

Here the story comes first. Each room starts from a document — a sealed letter, a lighthouse logbook, an antiquarian's inventory — and the puzzles come out of that, not out of a lock catalogue. The furniture is real and bought at flea markets; what can't be bought, we make in the workshop downstairs.

A room takes between four and seven months to build and is tested with around a hundred groups before it opens. That's why there are only three, and why we replace them every two or three years instead of running eight half-finished ones.

  • All the furniture is real, no plastic props
  • A hundred test groups before a room opens
  • You never play with strangers: the room is your group's

Groups of more than six, celebrations and corporate days. All with a firm written price before you confirm anything.

Pick a room, a day and a time

Tell us how many of you there are and which slot you want. We reply the same day with a confirmation, or with two alternatives if that time is already taken. Nothing is charged when you book.

What people ask at the door

If yours isn't here, write to us and we'll add it.

Do you lock us in?

No. No door is locked and all three rooms have a lit green exit button, in plain sight, that opens from the inside in a second. You can leave at any moment and come back in if it was just for the toilet.

I'm claustrophobic. Can I play?

It depends on the room, which is why we say so on each one. "The Antiquarian" and "The Sealed Letter" are ordinary rooms, lit and with no tight spaces: almost nobody has a problem. "The Lighthouse" has dim stretches and a narrow staircase, so we don't recommend it. Say so when booking and we'll put you in the right one.

Are there jump scares or actors inside?

Neither. Nobody comes in to scare you and nothing jumps out, screams or touches you. "The Lighthouse" has tension — dim light and storm noise — but that's atmosphere, not a scare. If you're after horror, this isn't the place, and we'd rather tell you now.

From what age can children play?

From 8 years old in "The Sealed Letter" and always with an adult inside the room, which is our house rule and isn't up for debate. Between 8 and 12 it works far better with the clues tilted their way: tell us their ages when booking and we'll give clues before they get stuck. The other two rooms, from 14.

How many clues can we ask for?

As many as you like, and they don't cost you time or points. We'd rather you left having understood the room than spent half an hour staring at a drawer. What we won't do is hand you the answer unasked, unless you've been stuck on the same thing for fifteen minutes.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

"The Antiquarian" is, fully and step-free, with a wide door and an adapted toilet. "The Sealed Letter" has a 12 cm step at the entrance that we bridge with a portable ramp, and inside it's fine. "The Lighthouse" isn't, because of the staircase. Say so when booking and we'll have it ready.

Can I play on my own?

The rooms are built for two at least: on your own it's a real slog and we don't recommend it. What we never do is put you with strangers to fill the group: the room belongs to whoever books it, always.

What if we're late?

Up to ten minutes, you go in and play whatever's left of the hour: another group is waiting behind you and the room has to be reset completely between games. More than ten minutes and the game is lost. If you're going to be late, call: sometimes we can move you to the next slot.

For big groups, companies, gift vouchers or anything not covered above. We reply the same day. If it's for a specific date and it's urgent, better to call: we check email twice a day.

If anyone in your group turns up drunk, they don't go into the room and that person's payment isn't refunded. We say it here so we don't have to say it at the door.
