Each with what it costs and what it gives you. The real difference between a hot desk and a fixed desk isn't the price: it's whether you can leave your monitor and your papers on it when you go.

Hot deskMost popular

€95/month + VAT (€114.95 incl. VAT)

You come in, take whichever desk is free and get to work. Access 8 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, a lockable locker for your laptop during the day and 2 hours of meeting room a month. It's the rate for someone who comes three or four days a week and not always at the same time.

Your desk, always the same one, with a lockable drawer unit and room to leave a monitor, a keyboard and whatever else set up. 24/7 access with your own card, 8 hours of meeting room a month and a shelf for files. For someone who comes every day and really sets up their post.

Meeting room by the hourNon-members too

€18/hour for the small one · €28/hour for the big one

Two rooms: one for six with a screen and one for twelve with a projector and a whiteboard. Booked by the hour from the panel, and available even if you're not a member. For the day you need a proper room for a meeting and don't want a noisy café.

Book a room

The meeting-room hours included in each rate don't roll over from month to month, and extra hours are billed at €12 instead of €18. It's written here so nobody gets a surprise on March's invoice.

What's always included, whichever rate you're on

None of this is billed on top in any of the three rates. We write it out because in this trade there's a habit of selling the coffee as an extra.

Fibre that survives a video call

600 Mb symmetric over cable and wifi, with a second line from a different provider that takes over on its own if the first drops. There's an Ethernet cable at every desk: anyone who is on video calls all day knows why that matters.

Coffee, tea and water

A bean-to-cup machine, tea, herbal teas and cold water, all day, with no tokens and no honesty box. Plus a kitchen with a microwave, a fridge and a dishwasher for those of us who bring lunch, which is about half of us.

Booths for calls

Two soundproofed one-person booths, with a desk and a light, for calls and video calls. No booking needed: if it's free, go in. It's what lets the main room actually stay quiet.

Printer and scanner

Unlimited black-and-white printing and 50 colour pages a month. A scanner with a document feeder, which is what actually gets used. Beyond that, €0.10 per colour page, billed at the end of the month.

Bike rack and shower

Room for eight bikes inside the building, in the covered courtyard, and a shower with lockers for those who cycle or run in. The courtyard key is on the same access card.

The people

There are twenty-odd of us: developers, two architects, a translator, marketing people and a couple of sales reps. A shared lunch on the last Friday of the month, with no obligation to come. There are no "community activities" to sign up for.

Separate, and only if you want it: registered address and parcel handling, €25/month with its own conditions. It covers receiving post and parcels in your company's name; whether it works for your tax registration depends on your activity and that's for your accountant to decide, not us.

Who we are

We built the place we wanted to work in ourselves

We opened Nodo in 2016, two freelancers who had spent three years moving between cafés and our own flats. We knew exactly what was missing: real quiet, a chair that doesn't wreck your back after six hours and a connection that survives a two-hour video call without dropping.

So the place is set up the other way round from many: the main room is a quiet zone, calls happen in the booths and conversation moves to the kitchen. There's no music playing and no compulsory "networking events". What there is is a shared lunch on the last Friday of the month, and you come if you feel like it.

Both of us still work here, at the desk at the back. Which means that when something doesn't work we find out the same day, because it affects us too.

  • The main room is a quiet zone, and it's respected
  • The owners work here, at the desk at the back
  • No music playing and no compulsory events

Come and see it

Viewing and trial day

Come and see it, or better, come and work for a day

The tour takes ten minutes and the trial day is a full working day with a desk, wifi and coffee, free and with no card required. Tell us which day suits you and we'll say whether there's a desk free.

What people ask before signing

If yours isn't here, write to us and we'll add it.

Is there a lock-in?

None, on any rate. You give fifteen days' notice, pay to the end of the month and get your deposit back that same week. There's no penalty, no one-year clause and no "we'll claw back the discount". If you've paid a year up front and leave early, we refund the unused part at the monthly rate.

Can I register my company here?

We offer post and parcel handling in your company's name for €25/month, under a separate contract. Whether that works as your registered address for tax purposes depends on your activity and on what the tax office asks for in your case: check with your accountant before taking it out with us. We don't promise it works for everything, because it doesn't, and someone would end up in trouble.

How many meeting-room hours are included?

Two a month with a hot desk, eight with a fixed desk and fifteen with an office. They don't roll over. Extra hours are €12 instead of €18, billed at the end of the month with everything else. The room is booked from the panel and you can see who has it.

Can I bring a client in?

Yes, with no warning and no charge: for a short meeting in the sofa area or the kitchen, or in the meeting room if you have hours left. What you can't do is bring someone in to work a full day at a desk: that's a day pass and it costs €15 + VAT.

Is it noisy? I'm on video calls a lot

The main room is a quiet zone: calls happen in the two soundproofed booths or in the kitchen, and we do enforce that, even when it's awkward to say so to someone. If you're on back-to-back video calls all day, a booth won't be enough and the honest thing is to say so: that's what the office is for.

Can I just come for the odd day?

Yes: a day pass at €15 + VAT and a ten-day bundle at €120 + VAT, valid for a year. It's what people who pass through Zaragoza every fortnight use. From eight days a month onwards the hot desk works out cheaper, and we'll tell you that ourselves before you buy your third bundle.

Is it accessible?

The building has a lift to the third floor and the entrance is wide and step-free. Inside everything is on one level, with no changes of height, and there's an adapted toilet. The fixed desks are height-adjustable, so you can work from a wheelchair with nothing to adapt.

Can I leave my things here?

With a hot desk, in a lockable locker during the day; overnight the locker is emptied because someone else uses it the next day. With a fixed desk, whatever you like: a lockable drawer unit, a shelf and room to leave your monitor set up. With an office, it's yours and you lock it when you leave.
