Puncture and inner tubeNo appointment
€8 + the tube · on the spot
Done while you wait, no appointment. We also check the inside of the tyre: half of all repeat punctures are a shard of glass still stuck in there that nobody removed.
A puncture is fixed while you wait. A full tune-up is ready in two days. New cables and housings, same day if you come in the morning. What we won't do is keep you a week with no news: when the bike comes in we give you a date and we stick to it.
If the bike can't make it out of the house, we collect it within the city centre for €8 and bring it back fixed.
Labour prices include VAT. Parts are extra and are quoted before fitting. The turnaround is realistic, not optimistic: if we see we won't make it, we ring you the same day, not on the day it was due.

from €15 · same day
Pad or block replacement, adjustment and, on hydraulic discs, a bleed with fresh fluid. If the rotor is below its minimum thickness, we show you on the calliper gauge.
from €25 · same day if you come in the morning
Front and rear mech adjustment, new cables and housings, and a clean of chain, cassette and chainrings. We measure chain wear: replacing it in time costs €20, leaving it ends up costing €90 with the cassette.
€18 for truing · from €55 for a build
Truing and spoke tensioning on the jig, or a full wheel build if the rim is beyond saving. We build by hand, spoke by spoke: a properly tensioned wheel doesn't go out of true a month later.
from €30 · two days
Mechanics, brakes and drivetrain on e-bikes of any make, plus motor error diagnosis. What we do NOT open is the battery: that's for the official service centre and we'll tell you so.
€12 a day · €55 a week
City and touring bikes with helmet, lock and pannier included. You leave an ID and a €50 deposit, returned when you bring the bike back. Half day, full day or a week.
We work on any make and on old bikes. If a repair is going to cost more than the bike is worth, we say so and show you what we have second-hand: we'd rather lose the job than charge you for something daft.
Labour, VAT included. Any parts needed are quoted separately and phoned through before fitting: nothing gets touched here without telling you either.

The one for after winter or before a long trip.
Cables and housings included; any other parts are extra.
€85ready in two or three days
The same, plus what an electric bike suffers extra.
The turnaround counts from when you drop the bike off, not from when you book. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you the day it arrives before taking the job on. In high season (April to June) add a day to everything.
Swap these for photos of your own bench and for a before-and-after of a bike that came out well: it's what gets shared most and what best explains what you do.
Every one goes through the workshop before going on sale: drivetrain, brakes, wheels and bearings. They come with a six-month warranty on the mechanics and a free first check-up after two months.

Write to us with your size and what you want it for and we'll let you know as soon as one comes in. Each bike is uploaded by the workshop with its own photos, size and price from Shop → Products, so what you see here is genuinely what's in today.

We opened in 2013 in a thirty-square-metre unit with one stand and a toolbox. There are still two of us and we still fix more bikes than we sell, which is exactly what we wanted.
We don't care about the brand and we don't care if your bike is twenty years old: if it can be fixed, we fix it. And if it can't, we say so plainly instead of charging you for a repair that won't survive the winter. What we always do is show you the worn part before replacing it, with the new one next to it.

You don't need an appointment for a puncture, but you do for a tune-up: that way it goes straight onto the bench instead of leaning against a wall for three days. Tell us what's wrong and when you can drop it off.
Mostly about turnaround times and rentals.
Punctures, brakes and adjustments: same day, often while you wait. Full tune-up: two days. E-bike: two or three. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you the day it arrives BEFORE you say yes, and if it's delayed we ring you that same day, not on the day it was due.
Of course. Half of what comes in here was bought online or at a big-box store, and many arrive badly assembled from new. We fix them just the same and without comment: whoever sold it isn't here and that's no use to you.
Six months on the mechanics: drivetrain, brakes, wheels and bearings. It doesn't cover normal wear (tyres, pads, chain) or crash damage. They come with a free check-up after two months, which is when cables settle and things need readjusting.
City bikes, with helmet, lock and pannier included. You leave an ID and a €50 deposit, returned in full when the bike comes back in the same condition. Twelve euros a day, fifty-five a week. Reserve on WhatsApp, and in summer it's worth doing so a couple of days ahead.
Bring it in and we'll look at it without charging for the check. On aluminium and steel it's fairly visible by eye and with a straight edge; on carbon we're cautious: if there's a suspect area we'll tell you to have it professionally inspected rather than give an opinion we can't stand behind.
It depends on the frame. If the frame is sound and the bike suits you, it's almost always better value to fix it than to buy a bad new one. If the repair costs more than the bike is worth, we tell you with the figure in front of you and show you what we have second-hand. You decide with both prices in view.
Another question before bringing it in?
Write to usWe close on Mondays: that's the day we catch up on the workshop and build up the second-hand bikes.

From April to June there's more work than fits: book a few days ahead if you need the bike for a particular date.
In the old town, up the hill from the square. There's a bike rack at the door and the entrance is at street level.
Tell us which bike it is, what you've noticed and when you need it. A photo of the part that's making the noise, or of the rear mech from behind, saves half a conversation. We reply the same day with a rough price and turnaround, and if it's a five-minute fix we say so, so you don't pay for it.
