The app is published as "Generador de Cuentos" in Spanish and "Luna" in other languages. This policy covers it in every language.
The app is designed to work without accounts, emails or contact details. The first time you open it, our server assigns it an anonymous identifier, which is used to keep your library.
Each story is written by a language model. The recipe you choose (characters, setting, tone) and, if you added it, the child's name, are sent to our server and from there to the model provider (OpenAI), only to produce that story. The generated text also goes through an automatic moderation filter.
In Spanish, stories are read by Sara, a voice that runs on the phone itself. In other languages, the text of each page is sent to OpenAI to generate the storyteller audio; the audio is kept on our server and on your phone so it does not need to be created again.
If you choose to have stories read in your own voice, the app records a voice sample of the adult (never of the child), only after you confirm it is your own voice and that you agree to this use. The recording is sent to our server and from there to Fish Audio, the provider that creates the voice model, with the sole purpose of producing the audio of your stories. Your voice can only read stories created in the app, never arbitrary text. The audio produced is kept on our server and on your phone so it can be replayed.
You can re-record it or delete it at any time in Settings → Your voice → "Delete my voice": the voice model at Fish Audio and the stored audio are deleted. It is also deleted when you delete your data.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store any payment data; we only receive from Apple the signed receipt that confirms the subscription.
In the app: Settings → "Delete my data and start over". This removes from our server the stories, custom names and the identifier itself, immediately and irreversibly. You can also write to hola@1h1app.com.
The app is operated by the adult: purchases, external links and the free-text field are behind a parental gate. Generated content goes through filters to keep it suitable for children.
